What a View

Science fiction short story

The man struggling his way up the maintenance ladder was a suit. Likely squeezed into the world bloody and squalling with expensive silk already collaring his chubby little neck ...

The billboard was leviathan, blotting out the sky. The only thing Meredith had ever loved. And, tapping a rifle thoughtfully against her leg, she was determined to keep her bold advertisement dominating the entire world's view. With violence, if necessary.

What a View first appeared in print in 2004, as part of Cardigan Press' amazing experimental fiction collection All Change Please.

What a View can also be enjoyed as part of Cacophony: Collected Short Stories Volume One.
